Operation Improvement

The OAG team have a successful track record in improving operational performance in all the major manufacturing sectors. We have the methods and tools which will reduce the lead-time to achieving improvement and exceed expectations. Our team’s mission is to transfer our knowledge and experience to enable you to shorten the journey to a sustainable manufacturing operation that is continuously improving.
From the range of Operations Assessments available from OAG, you have completed our level one assessment. This is a nine-question assessment, with thirty six possible responses, is designed to deliver a self-assessed rapid response, macro view of your operation. The conclusion drawn from the analysis uses the relationships and influences between each component to define the current condition of the operation.

Our goal is to give you a detailed analysis of where the business operations are right now and then assist in driving operational excellence and improving gross margin.

Recommendations

Whether you are reviewing a single location or benchmarking multiple sites, the assessment you completed is designed to give an overview of the current condition of your operation and is scored against our standards for operational performance.
The high level assessments are extensive and detailed. Each component of the operation is further divided into six sub-components which produce a current status grade of 1-5. Your aspirational goals are established for each sub-component and set as objectives and standards for measuring improvement. The journey from current status to aspiration is captured in a detailed plan with milestone reviews. A financial benefits calculator is included to estimate the gross margin improvements in closing the gap. This is supported by independent feedback and a full assessment report with guidance on how to make the changes that will drive gross margin improvements.

Health check
A level one, self-assessed macro review gives only an indicative status of the operation. The report is compiled from generic answers assembled from the choices you have made. The analysis uses the relationships and influences between each component to define the current condition. The result is derived from just nine questions and represents the view of one individual and may be skewed by: being over optimistic or pessimistic, recent or past events, your position in the business.
It is a good starting point but for a true and detailed understanding of the operation, you need to apply a higher and more meticulous level assessment.
